Hearts for Haiti

I had the pleasure of viewing "Hearts for Haiti" presented by Urban Zen, Donna Karan's foundation which works to empower Haitians through encouraging and financing local craftsmanship. In turn, she uses proceeds from the bevy of woodwork, jewelry, and home goods created to bring money back into Haiti.

 For this particular occasion, Urban Zen teamed up with the CFDA to create a series of personalized hearts designed by members including Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera, and Ralph Lauren. All items, including the hearts which are currently on sale on Ebay.

On a personal note, I am Haitian and was touched to see so much of the art, sounds, and culture I grew up with. Sending a big thank you to Donna Karan and Urban Zen.
