Cooking gluten free versions of familiar foods makes transitioning your diet much easier. Ive always been a pasta fiend and obsessed with my Dad's recipe for breaded meatballs (a Haitian dish called "Boulet"). This tasty alternative will satisfy you and make you think of home.
Instructions:
1. Season ground turkey meat and work in a tablespoon of olive oil, chopped onions, basil, and green pepper.
2. Mold meatball in your hand so that it fits in your palm.
3. Dip meatball in flour until completely white.
4. After flouring all meatballs, place them on a greased pan.
5. Bake at 250 for 25 minutes. Make sure they are thoroughly cooked!
6. Boil gluten free pasta al dente. Once boiled, move to frying pan.
7. On a low fire, cook broccoli, crushed garlic, gluten free tomato sauce, and pasta.
8. After 5 minutes and meatballs to pan and cook in sauce.
PS I highly suggest making extra meatballs and throwing them in your salad! So good.
