Maxin Out

Maxi dresses are a token summer piece that will go the distance for you and your wardrobe. They are insanely comfortable and will take you from the farmer's market to date night.

To avoid looking like a walking swaddle of fabric, it's important to note the following:
  • Adding a belt will create a waist and break up the excess fabric. This is key for us short girls!
  • Choose a dress that flatters your assets. I look better with thicker straps and v-neck cuts, hence my choice below.
  • Don't be afraid of patterns and color. It may feel like these will make you larger, but the cut of the maxi actually has a slimming, streamlining effect.
  • Wear the appropriate shoes. It's unsanitary and sloppy to have your maxi dragging on the ground. So add a wedge or visit your tailor.
