Punk Inspired

Previewing "Chaos to Couture" encouraged me to toughen up my look (a la Sienna Miller). For a fun contrast, I paired a lace dress with my favorite leather jacket and some suede booties. To create your own “punk pretty” ensemble, mix a feminine dress (lace or chiffon) with leather accessories.

CHAOS TO COUTURE

Its no mistake that half the celebs at last night's Met Gala were wearing Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci. They were paying homage to "PUNK: From Chaos to Couture," the Costume Institute's newest exhibit, which illustrates the underground punk culture and its influence on fashion. Tisci's designs constantly reference this movement giving his clothes a liberated "fuck you" energy. Check out some of my favorite looks from the preview below. The exhibit is open to the public from May 9th to August 14th.
