Black & White

Black and white graphic prints were a fixture on the spring runways. I found the perfect interpretation in these two-toned Zara pants. They make my 5'1 frame feel a wee bit taller and serve as a great contrast to my colored blouses.

Rainy Day Easy

There's nothing I love more than spending a rainy day holed up in a local café, sipping chai tea, and people watching. For an easy, practical outfit I turned to a cozy knit, light trench, and water resistant boots. To add some flair, I accessorized with a bright bag and statement necklace. Beauty wise, I kept it simple with tinted moisturizer and braids to avoid frizz.

On a side note, I recently attended a gluten free cooking class sponsored by Udi, one of my favorite brands (especially for their delicious g-free wheat bread). Founding editor-in-chief of Every Day of Rachel Ray and blogger extraordinaire, Silvana Nardone, conducted the class and gifted her amazing book, Cooking for Isaiah. I'm excited to test some recipes and share my favorites with you!

Spring Must Haves

A recent jog on the East River provided some major blog inspiration. I returned a week later wearing my spring must haves (a flowy dress, double strap sandals, and a light, structured jacket). This outfit is my go-to for endless graduation parties, work events, and dressy dinners. And when its finally warm enough, I'll ditch the jacket!

3 WAYS TO CHAMBRAY

A great fitting chambray has proven to be a seasonless wardrobe staple for me. After spending a long winter layered under nubby sweaters, mine is ready to see the light! Here are 3 ways I'll be wearing my chambray this spring:

LOOK 1: DRESS IT UP
Tucking your chambray in a flirty mini is a classy way to show some skin and instantly create a waist! To make the look pop, add some modern sandals and gold accented accessories.

LOOK 2: OFFICE APPROPRIATE
The key to making your chambray professional is pairing it with the right blazer. If you work in a corporate environment, swap the leather leggings for a pencil skirt or well fitting trousers. Lastly, wear your favorite jewelry and a leather notebook for a personal touch.

LOOK 3: BRUNCH AND BEYOND
The weekend is all about comfort so a stretchy cotton skirt is a no brainer. Throw on a funky pair of flats or sandals so you're up for whatever the day brings!
